About

David Rodriguez is a Miami-based cinematographer whose passion for filmmaking began in childhood, creating LEGO stop-motion short films. What started as a creative hobby quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit. David formally studied film throughout middle school and high school, and went on to earn his college degree in 2022.

His work has been showcased at numerous film festivals across the country. Most notably, Truth of a Thousand Nights won the CinemaSlam Grand Prize at the Miami Film Festival. In addition to narrative filmmaking, David is passionate about shooting music videos and commercials, where he enjoys pushing creative boundaries—particularly through expressive and intentional lighting design.

In 2025, David served as cinematographer on his debut feature film, Fallen Fruit, which garnered critical acclaim and screened at major festivals including Frameline and the New York Latino Film Festival.
